SafetyEngine Mobile App - Release Notes¶

This document covers the changes to the SafetyEngine mobile app (Apple App Store, Google Play Store)

We have made some improvements when an error is encountered while submitting a form. You will no longer be sent back to the landing page or the form list when an error occurs. Instead, the error will be shown in a pop-up.

Users who tried to log in with a blacklisted email address were not shown an error message when their SSO sign-in attempt was refused. The error message will now be displayed on the sign-in page.

You can now switch between using the online text-to-speech solution or using built-in device voices from the safety introduction settings menu.

Starting a safety introduction that consists of only a video will now set your status as started.
We have fixed an issue, where sometimes another safety introduction than the one that was selected, would load on projects with multiple safety introduction modules.

We have implemented a new text to speech solution for safety introductions with higher quality voices. Voices are now streamed to the device featuring AI generated speech. The new text to speech requires an active internet connection. If the connection is interrupted you are still able to continue using the text to speech functionality by using the built-in voices on your device. The UI for text to speech remains the same.

Scores now show correctly in the admin portal: Administrators will see correct and up-to-date percentages for users’ quiz results, so reporting and follow-up actions are accurate.
Smoother experience after single sign-on (SSO): People who log in with SSO will no longer see an in-app browser pop up unexpectedly while going through safety introductions
Safety intro progress stability improvements: Users who experience an unexpected shutdown of the app, would sometimes find that the progress they made in the safety introduction was not saved correctly. This has now been fixed.
Files view improvements: A large number of files in a single folder, will now be displayed correctly.
